Medicare is our nation’s health insurance program for people aged 65 and older. People with disability or with kidney failure are eligible to apply.
Eligibility
| A person aged 65 and older, receiving benefits from Social Security or the Railroad Retirement Board | Automatic eligibility |

| A person with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, aka Lou Gehrig’s disease), receiving Social Security disability benefits | |
